Configuration Checker
.
Summary

It checks (for example):

To access the script, you run the file config.aspx on your server. This is accessible either by going to the administration home (http://yourserver/admin/default.aspx) and following the link to the Configuration Checker OR by going directly to it at http://yourserver/admin/config.aspx.

It would be cool if there was some advice here what to do if the configuration checker doesn't work, either. I, for example, get an HTTP 500.

Error500

I also got errors trying to use the Config.aspx (note, I'm working on a Linux server, and thus "config.aspx" doesn't work... I must use Config.aspx), and found I got a error 500 message:

System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path
        "/var/www/localhost/htdocs/admin/WikiBases".

Symlinking WikiBases into the admin directory (cd to admin/ directory and exec ln --symlink ../WikiBases .), kludges around the issue, and get things working fine on Linux. I have no idea how to fix it on Windows though (an OS that does not have the luxury of symbolic links). -- Stuart Longland
