Presence was a feature in earlier versions of FlexWiki. Maybe we'll figure out a good UI that lets us bring it back; people found the old UI obtrusive.
Spending time on Wiki feels like a solo experience. Even if there are other people reading and writing things on the Wiki, you won't really know about it. You have to go looking to see what people are writing and there's no way to know what people are reading.
WikiPresence is feature that gives you a sense of real-time participation in the Wiki. You can see the presence feature at the bottom-right of your window when reading a topic. It'll change as people read and write topics on the wiki. The LED will turn red if somebody has made a change recently. If you hover over the bar with the mouse, it'll "toast" up and show you the most recent few dozen things that others have done on the wiki.
