- I'm assuming that SiteIndex isn't sufficient. What algorithm should be used to determine how to logically group sections of the Wiki for display in a table of contents? Or are you talking more like a tree structure view of the wiki?
- Presumably what's being requested here is "a way to generate a table of contents based on the bang headers in the page, that way the TOC wouldn't have to be updated when the rest of the page is, just add TableOfContents: to the top of the page and it is automatically generated." (Copied from the FeatureRequests.) MediaWiki has an excellent implementation of this. TOCs are created automatically for pages with lots of headers, but are suppressed for pages with fewer headers. Any page can also have its TOC forced on or off with a special keyword.
